Day two of black and white challenge

This portrait features a mother calf and escort Humpback Whale.  The whales were curious and came in for a close look. I call this image “family unit”, as the whales look as if they are a tight nit family but the escort is not the calf’s father and is most likely hanging around the female hoping to get a chance to mate.

Beautiful Humpback whales!

Beautiful Humpback whales!

Markus Davids, are you up for the 5 day B&W challenge?
