standing the test of time

I have driven by this tree thousands of times.  Recently, I stopped and created this image.  The time was 4 PM and the sun was high in the sky.  The winds were blowing about 15-20 and I dared not let go of my tripod.   I used a ND filter to manage the light so I could create the capa-frapa-maui-chino effect with the water.

See this and other beautiful Maui Portraits at Kohola Gallery, located next to the Farmers Market at 3636 lower Honoapiilani rd, in Honokowai Maui.

About living with love and peace

this blog is not about me as much as it is for me to be of service to all people. I want to share the what I have learned and inspire people to live with peace and love. Everything starts inside our mind, heart, and soul. When we become at peace with ourselves and our life circumstance our positive outlook and intent can motivate others to strive for their own peace. The idea is to pay it forward.

    Hi Douglas,

Would it be possible to use some of your imagery on our web site? I’m running a start-up, which is a spin-out company form Oxford University. The Company, called Animal Dynamics (www.animal-dynamics.com), is developing a range of propulsion systems based on animal movement, including one based on the movement of a whale/dolphin. Your pictures would look great, and evocative.

    Cheers,

    Alex
