Maui Photography workshop – Diagonal lines

In this portrait created along the road to Hana I noticed the tree on the ground covered in moss, and ferns.   Conveniently there was a place to pull off the road.  I looked at the tree for a minute then decided to use it as a diagonal line that would serve to guide the views eye into the image from the lower right and bring it through the image to another tree along the left third.

Not only is there is diagonal line from the tree but also from the plants growing along its bottom.

If your coming to Maui and would like to see some beautiful landscape images of Maui, go have dinner at the Waterfront in Maalaea Harbor and while there check out the art.
