Naia’ Fiji – One of the best liveabaord expereinces in the world

Baby Humpback Whale in Ha'apai Tonga

I had the pleasure of being a guest host on a recent Naia, Tonga trip in the Ha’apai island group.  We had some pretty bad weather for the majority of the trip.  Regardless of the strong winds the crew did a great job finding whales to observe from the surface as well as providing some high quality whale swims.

The skiff drivers are simply outstanding.  Not only do they know whale behavior but also how to approach the whales in a manner that allows for swimmers to have good encounters.  On the last day each skiff had whales for several hours.  What a great way to end a trip.

Too bad the boat is booked for the next year two.  I cant wait for my next Naia cruise.
