Sunlight is bathing this baby whale

While diving the outside wall at Molokini Crater in Maui, this whale swam by to say hello.    The encounter was brief but it had great impact. The mom was below at a depth of about 40 feet.   I loved how the suns rays danced around and framed the whale.

I was doing a safety stop at 15 feet after enjoying a drift dive from Reefs End to the back wall. From the depths below a mother and calf swam by.  Just like that they vanished in the blue.  Over my career I have done this dive more than a 1000 times and this is the first time a whale has come by to say hello.
