Flying Whale

This was my favorite image created in the 2010 season. I was snorkeling with the whale for over 45 minutes and was hoping it would come closer.  Instead of doing that the whale was cruising along side of me about 10 feet deep.  All of a sudden it kicked twice and thrust itself out of the water. Luckily I had the presence of mind to lift my camera out of the water and press the shutter.

is it flying whale or a missile

What makes this a one in a million image is the horizon line under the whale.  Its possible to get great breaches like this from a boat but the angle of view and the horizon would be different.
